Obituary of Ermelinda Rosa Da Rocha Antunes

Peacefully entered into rest, surrounded by her family at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Monday November 22, 2021, Ermelinda Rosa Da Rocha  Antunes of Chatham at the age of 74.  Born in Portugal on June 6, 1947, daughter of the late Jesuvina (Da Rocha) and Manuel Antunes.  

Beloved wife of 55 years of Antonio Antunes who has lovingly cared for her during her battle with dementia for the last 10 years. 

Loving mother of Maria Fernanda Antunes (José Laurentino), Fatima Antunes-Cardoso (Carlos Cardoso), Natalia Antunes (Paul Hosek) and Elena Antunes.  Dearest grandmother of Melanie and Jonathan Laurentino, Justin and Nicholas Antunes-Cardoso, Isaac and Sophia Antunes-Hosek, Owen and Nate Antunes-Murphy.  She is also survived by her sisters Rosa, Maria, Linda and brothers Avelino, Americo and Joe.  She will also be missed by many dear family and friends. 

Friends and relatives may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Friday November 26, 2021 from 7-9 PM. 

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday November 27, 2021 at 11 AM in St. Agnes' Church.

Burial will be in North American Martyrs Cemetery, Wardsville.
