Obituary of Delbert Knight

At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus, on Saturday March 19, 2022, Delbert A. Knight (A.K.A. Uncle Bud), born in Windsor Ontario, eldest son of the late Eleanore (Jackson) Knight and Delbert Knight. Loving partner of Linda Laurie (2016).

Loving father of Eleanor Knight (Chris Desjardins) and step-son Michael Cunningham (2021). Proud grandfather of Lucas Shepherd (Alicia), Avery Desjardins, Isabelle Desjardins, Bree-Al Desjardins and Ari’ah Desjardins. Loving great-grandfather to Royce Shepherd.

Delbert was preceded in death by his mother and father and by siblings Louis, John, Tommy, Caroline, Patricia, Margaret, Shirley, his partner Linda and step-son Michael.

\Delbert worked hard and played even harder, enjoying some drinks on the weekend with his favorite family the Hollands. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews and friends, his memory will live on for years to come.

Special thank-you to E.J. Holland for the care and love he provided to uncle bud over the past 9 months. Rest in Peace, until we meet again.  

Friends and relatives may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) from 2 – 4 pm on Thursday March 24, 2022.  

Cremation will then follow.
