Brian, Danny, Heather and families- I don’t know if I can add to all the beautiful memories shared already but I know I will miss my special friend terribly. We have been neighbours for 40 years but friends for much longer. Because of my hearing problem we emailed or visited often especially during the Jays games - sharing our two cents about what was wrong or right when they won. She was the first to comfort when needed - always was such a treat to see her wave and smile from her porch. I will miss sharing of our grandchildren and great’s achievements and pictures - she was
always interested in my life as I was in hers. She was always willing to help me take care of things so I could go on some trips to see my kids. I know I have another angel watching over me and my family - love you Shirley.

Uncle Brian, Heather, Jeff, Danny, Heather and families,
I never imagined a world without Aunt Shirley. She’s just always been there - through the good times and the bad. I can remember so many happy memories being at your house, sitting on the stairs chatting, or at the bar eating gum balls from the machine, and Aunt Shirley would be in her apron cooking up a storm and laughing away. You always felt comfortable at Uncle Brian and Aunt Shirley’s house. She’s just always been there - for all the special events and the day to day moments - weddings, confirmations, birthdays, summer parties, lunches at your house - wherever. You always knew you could count on her, and with a huge smile, laughs, and hugs. She has always been just a phone call away! I can picture her in the kitchen, on the phone, washing and drying dishes and chatting away. I cherish my time with her and growing up with such a special Aunt. There was never a doubt how much she loved us and that she genuinely cared. She reminded us of that with her generous cards and emails. As a kid, I can remember driving around in her white Chevette going to her mom and dad’s house. They would be sitting at the kitchen table smoking and Aunt Shirley was always so caring toward them. She was the same with Grandma Margaret, always checking in and making sure she had what she needed. Aunt Shirley had the biggest heart and the world will never be the same without her. We will miss her so incredibly much. She was always genuinely interested in how our boys were doing, and to share stories of her beloved children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She truly loved her family with her entire heart. We will miss her immensely but are so fortunate to have had so many years with her. If love could have saved her, she would have lived forever.
With love and sympathy,
Katie, Dave, Reid and Drew

Brian &family: What a glorious celebration for such a beautiful lady, It was truly a SHIRLEY DAY!! Lovely weather, great music & the most beautiful remembrances shared by Heather & Dan, Shirley was our mom's Eucharistic minister at Village on the Thames & they shared many stories about St. Patrick's church in Merlin.(Lots of people known to both of them) We were honoured to have Shirley do a reading at mom's celebration of life .I shared a silver & glass angel with her that had been in mom's room & I believe it landed on your Christmas tree. Know that you will be in our thoughts & prayers as you journey with this loss.

Shirley was one of the kindest, sweetest persons I have ever had the privilege of meeting.
I met Shirley through the CWL, though my mom, Ruth Anne Tremblay had know her for years. Shirley was always so thoughtful and welcoming. She never failed to stop whatever she was doing and say hello whenever she met you.
She was a true volunteer who put her whole heart into everything she did, whether it was making sure someone received a prayer shawl who needed it or a comforting card from their CWL sisters in time of need. Shirley was always sending me emails with thoughtful pieces for the CWL newsletters. She was so proud of her wonderful family and so happy to share about them. She gave me her clippings that she had gathered through the years for our newsletters. I will miss those emails and all her kind words.
When I first started out helping at Blessed Sacrament Church, one of the staff told me that there was no finer volunteer ever than our dear Shirley Harwood. She would even give them her vacation schedule when she planned to be away to be sure everything was covered.
I will miss her smile, her emails, her loving ways and her "Hugs". My mom and dad will miss how she never failed to pat their hands in church on the way back from communion to let them know she was thinking of them.
Such a fine lady. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

She loved life and with great faith made time for those in need. It might have been the promise of prayers, an encouraging card, or a phone call, you knew she was always there.
Shirley was an intrical part of the Reaume family network. Our cousins all understood that when questions arose or there was family information to be shared, resoundingly it was always, "Call Shirley".

I’m so sad to hear of Shirley’s passing. I’ve known Shirley for almost 55 yrs. My condolences to one of my best and oldest friends Heather, her Dad Brian, Dan and families. Always enjoyed running into Shirley at CKHA when she visited patients with communion.
Truly one of the kindest people to walk this earth, and the world was a better place because of her. Julie O’Rourke

I had known Shirley for many years before her brother Roger married my sister Linda. She was a beautiful soul throughout all of those years. She smiled all the time, and I just felt good in her presence.
Jeff and I send the entire family our deepest condolences, for a wonderful woman lost. She will forever be missed.

Aunt Shirley taught me many things, but the things that stand out above all else are the importance of family and sharing a meal together, having a strong faith and the power of a good lipstick. She impacted the lives of many and was a true inspiration for living life to the fullest. Her smile and laugh were infectious and you couldn’t help but be in good spirits when she was around. So very thankful to have been able to spend time with her before she returned home to the Lord.
Until we meet again Aunt Shirley, I love you and thank you for always including us.

Shocked to read of the loss of Shirley. She was our banker for many years but it was our meetings on your walks together when we would stop to discuss so many things. A really genuine person. I'm grateful to have known her. My deepest condolences.

Brian, Heather (Jeff), Dan (Heather) and families:
Shirley’s passing has left a hole in my heart that will never be filled again. Shirley was the everlasting bright light to light up a room with her laughter and smile. Alway greeted you with a big hug and a peck on the cheek with her pink lipstick mark left behind. Her love and kindness continued and was unwavering. I feel blessed to have spent Sunday gathering with family, friends and thank God for this day together. God bless all of you. Love always, Tammy Zink

I got to know Shirley from counting The Blessed Sacrament collection. She was so kind and truly cared about what was happening to others . The true definition of “ Christ Like” She called me this past Friday to again ask how “ I “ was doing. I truly appreciate her presence in my life and know Gods arms are wide open for her !

God has received a true angel with the passing of our beloved sister Shirley. She has been a pillar for the Reaume family and we all loved her so much. From dressing like the Easter Bunny for an Easter Egg hunt for all the kids to telling stories around the Christmas Dinner table, Shirley was always so fun to be around. There are no words to explain how much we will miss the woman who knew everything about our family history, never missed a birthday and kept us all up to date on each others lives. Her Sunday phone calls were always filled with laughter. We will miss you so much dear Shirley. Roger, Linda, Mel, Jeff, Samantha, Veronica and Claire. We all love you so much.
