Obituary of Frank de Jong

Peacefully, at the Chatham-Kent Hospice, on Thursday, August 18, 2016, Franciscus “Frank” deJong, age 90, of Chatham, beloved husband of the late Kathleen deJong (Wagg). Born in Holland, son of the late Petronella and Joseph deJong.
He will be sadly missed by his children, Jean deJong and husband Joe Watkins of Tucscon, Arizona and their children Laurel Watkins-deJong and Emily Watkins-deJong, Frances Finnigan and her husband Shane of Ottawa and their children, Jessie Rose Prodenchuk, Billy Prodenchuk, Hayley Finnigan and Emmett Finnigan, Frank deJong and his wife Joanne of Chatham and their children Frankie deJong, Joselyn deJong and Mitchell deJong.
Also sadly missed by family in the Netherlands. Frank was the last surviving member of his family.
Predeceased by a son Joseph deJong (1976).
Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 11 am – 1 pm.
A service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 1 pm with Fr. Bill Capitano officiating.
Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
Donations to the Chatham Kent Hospice Foundation would be appreciated.
