Obituary of Josie Doto

It is with great sadness and indescribable loss that the family of Josie (Matteis) Doto says good-bye too early to an incredible spirit who loved without boundaries. Born in Chatham, on November 27, 1955, Josie passed away unexpectedly, just after midnight Wednesday November 4, 2015. car rent . At age 14 she met the love of her life, Gabriel Doto, who she married in June 1979 and has created happy memories with for the last 36 years. She was a constant support for her children, Anna and Gabri, her pride and joy, who will miss her and her endless belief in them. She is the daughter of the late Geno Matteis and survived by her mom, Leona and sister, Stephanie Matteis, who even as a wordsmith, can’t find a way to express how much Josie meant to her and the Matteis and Doto families. As the matriarch Josie was the humble and gentle backbone of her family. We can only pray that she is in God’s loving embrace, sending strength and blessings to those she left behind and keeping a watchful eye on her nephew Sasha whom she adored. Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Friday November 6, 2015 from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph’s Church on Saturday, November 7 at 11 a.m. with cremation to follow.
