Obituary of Rose Ann Velle

Peacefully, at Riverview Gardens Nursing Home, Chatham, on Saturday, October 31, 2015, Rose Ann Velle, age 93, of Chatham, beloved wife of the late Maurice Velle. Born in Chatham, daughter of the late Paul and Alma Lozon.
She is survived by her daughters, Elaine (John) McRae of Calgary, Janice (Ron) Strydonck of London, Maureen (Maurice) Vermet of Thamesville, Melonie (Alan) Thibert of Chatham, her sons, Frank (Claire) Velle of Wyoming and Andy (Anne) of Chatham, 14 grandchildren, Maurice, Mark, Aimee, Josh, Romanie, Seona, Jeremy, David, James, Brian, Shannon, Michelle, Dave, Paul and 24 great grandchildren.
Also survived by her sister Clara Kendal of Chatham, sister in law Vera Lernout Couture of Chatham, and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her granddaughter Elecia Strydonck, her sister Marion and her husband Orval Rabideau, her sister in law Margaret and her husband Cyril Vandeweigh, and her brothers in law, Leonard Lernout, and Elmer Kendal.
Friends and relatives may visit at the funeral home, 156 William St. S., Chatham (519-352-5120) on Monday, November 2, 2015 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 3 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 11 am in Blessed Sacrament Church.
Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Children’s Treatment Centre would be appreciated.
