I’m sad to hear of Maurice passing. I always enjoyed a short visit and conversation with him when he brought Joan for her hair appointments. He always had a cute or funny story to tell. My condolences to Maurice’s family.

I am forever grateful that Maurice, along with Joan invited me into their family with open arms. He truly loved his family which was evident by all the “little” things he did. On a daily basis, before heading out for a coffee with his friends, he’d make sure Joan had her coffee while still in bed. During a family gathering he was always the last to fill his plate making sure everyone else was served first. At Christmas you were always guaranteed to receive a customized family “care package” thoughtfully put together by Maurice.
His skill at putting words together for a speech and then delivering them was remarkable. A first for me was to see Maurice receive a standing ovation for a Prayer he wrote and impeccably delivered! There’s no question I with miss this fine gentleman although I’m comforted by the wonderful memories he has given me. Thank you Maurice, and as you always said….Be Well.
