Obituary of Alice Patricia Bedford

Alice Patricia “Pat” (Glover) Bedford, 87, passed away peacefully on October 15, in Chatham, Ontario surrounded by loved ones. Pat Bedford was born in London Ontario to the late John Thomas Glover and Alice Annie Glover (Flood) on January 4, 1928.
Pat was a loving and devoted Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother and is survived by sons John Howard Bedford, William Wallace Bedford and his wife Teena, and daughter Nancy Patricia Bedford, five grandchildren Zachary, Rachel and Larissa Bedford, Joshua and Danika Storm; and by two great-grandchildren Dayson Haskel and Isabella Storm of Chatham Ontario. Pat is also survived by her brother, William (Bill) Glover and niece Jo-Ann and nephew Doug Glover. Pat was a volunteer at the Chatham- Kent YMCA for 40+ years where she ran various programs including Camp Queen Elizabeth. She was also a member of Ontario Genealogy Society in Chatham Ontario and worked for several years at Maple City Residence as the Activity Director.
Pat is predeceased in death by her beloved husband Rupert Wallace Bedford (2004), a foster son Steve Saker, Sister in- law Sheila Glover (2015), and by her brother and sister in-law Howard Burton Bedford & Eva Bedford.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Copper Terrace for their support in her final days.
A Memorial Service will be conducted in St. Paul’s United Church, 22125 Communication Main Rd. Chatham-Kent on Saturday October 24, 2015 at 1 pm. with Rev. Curtis Marwood officiating.
Reception to follow in the Church Hall.
A Private Family Burial of ashes will take place on Friday, October 23, 2015 in Ouvry Cemetery, Dealtown.
Donations to the Chatham-Kent Y.M.C.A. would be appreciated.
