Peacefully at Village on the Ridge, Ridgetown, on Thursday September 3, 2015, John Stanley Leschyshyn, of Ridgetown in his 89th year.
Survived by the love of his life Donna (Dixon) Leschyshyn of Ridgetown.
Born in Chatham in 1926, son of the late Katrina (Buk) and Michael Leschyshyn. John served in the Royal Canadian Army during World War II.
Loving father of Rev. Sharon Grainger, Brenda (Robb) Vincent and Karen (Rick) Squire all of Chatham. Cherished Grandfather of Nicole, Jeff (Becky), Tiffany (Trevor) and Jennifer (Jon), great grandfather of Jasmine, Dakoda, Chase, Asia, Drea, Raiven, Addison, Amelia, Jeffrey and Oliver, great great grandfather of Jeziah and Jaylah. Dear brother of Shirley Harris. Sadly missed by a sister-in-law Marie Leschyshyn and a brother-in-law Bob Ritchie. Predeceased by a son-in-law Rev. Ron Grainger, a brother Joe Leschyshyn and a sister Mary Ritchie.
Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) from 7 – 9 pm on Tuesday September 8, 2015.
Funeral Service will be conducted in the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday September 9, 2015 at 11 am with Pastor Mike Koppes of Praise Fellowship church officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Leaf Cemetery.
Donations to the O.S.P.C.A. or Praise Fellowship Soup Kitchen would be appreciated.
