Obituary of Thérèse Charlebois

CHARLEBOIS, Thérèse of Pain Court, Ontario passed away on Monday, August 31, 2015 in her 89th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Bernard in 1976 and her son Pierre in 1993. Mother of Bruno (Diane) Charlebois, Marie-Catherine (Richard) Charlebois and France (Adrian) Van Luyk. Fun-loving Grand-Maman of Andréanne, Jean-Bernard, Cynthia, Charles, Joël, Jocelyne, Adèle and Zacharie. Proud Great Grand-Maman ‘Fraise’ of Justin, Elliot, Élisabeth, Zoey, William, Éliana, Carter, Charlotte, Zoë and Théodore. Thérèse was 1000% devoted to her family. Her heart of gold beat to the music of the lives of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She spent most summers canning for the family and Christmas at Grand-Maman’s often featured hand-made clothes and sweaters, the product of hundreds of hours of all-day and often all-night work. Nothing pleased her more than the children or grandchildren playing their musical instruments. Thérèse a élevé ses enfants en français et était ultra-fière de sa langue et de sa culture. Elle a pratiqué sa foi catholique avec grande dévotion, récitant son chapelet tous les soirs. Elle aimait tellement être dehors dans son jardin, tondre son gazon sur son petit tracteur ou encore, aller pêcher. A loud and proud fan of the Detroit Red Wings and the Tigers. Thérèse was a practicing chocoholic and an even bigger ‘milk-aholic’. Will be sorely missed by Tim Horton’s (French vanilla and Boston cream) and Wendy’s (Frosty). Friends will be welcomed at the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham on Friday, September 4 2015 from 2-4 pm and from 7 – 9 pm. Parish prayers Friday afternoon at 3 pm. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, September 5 at 2 pm in Immaculée Conception Church in Pain Court, Ontario. Donations in memory of Thérèse may be directed to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of your choice.
