Peacefully, at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, on Sunday, June 28, 2015, Georgette Margaret Skipper, age 74, of Chatham. Born in Chatham, daughter of the late Madeline and George Thurston.
She is survived by her children, Cheryl (Jim) Burr of Mt. Brydges, Barbara Wilson of London, Lisa (Larry) McCaw of Toronto, and Michelle (Rick) Demaiter of Strathroy, her grandchildren, Dan (Jenn) Robertson, Lindsay Wilson, Erica Wilson, Lana McCaw, Luke McCaw, Samantha Demaiter and Zachary Demaiter, and 2 great grandchildren, Emily and Ashley Robertson. Also survived by her brother Larry Thurston of Chatham, and Charles (Brenda) Thurston of Wallaceburg, several nieces and nephews, and fondly remembered by David Skipper.
Predeceased by a grand daughter Brooke McCaw.
Georgette was a member of the Women of the Moose, Lodge #1692, Chatham and the K.B.D. Club.
Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Monday, June 29, 2015 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 3 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 10:30 am in St. Joseph’s Church.
A Women of the Moose Service will be held Monday evening at 7 pm.
Cremation will follow with burial of cremated remains at a later date.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
