Peacefully surrounded by family at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus, on Wednesday July 20, 2016, Antonio Domenico DeCola, age 83, of Chatham, beloved husband of Maria (Follo) DeCola. Born in Castelvetere sul Calore, Italy in 1933, son of the late Rosaria (Sullo) and Pellegrino DeCola.
Tony was a member of St. Ursula’s Church and was very proud in being instrumental in the development of the Dialysis Unit here in Chatham.
Loving father of Rosanna Waldram, Anna Maria (Michael) Day, Pellegrino (Cathy) DeCola. Cherished grandfather of Stephen, Melissa, Elise, Nicholas and Theresa. Dear brother of Silvio DeCola. Also sadly missed by his companion and best friend “Fritzy”. Predeceased by a sister Grace Iantosca.
Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Friday July 22, 2016 from 2- 4 and 7 – 9 pm, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 3 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday July 23, 2016 at 10:00 AM in St. Ursula’s Church.
Entombment will be in Maple Leaf Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
A Memorial Tree was planted for Antonio
