Obituary of Mary Jane Botterill

Peacefully, at Windsor Regional Hospital (Hotel Dieu), on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, Mary Jane Botterill, age 85, of Chatham, beloved wife of 67 years to H. Stanley Botterill. Born in Dover Township, daughter of the late Julima and Joseph Ritchie. She will be sadly missed by her children, Stan (Susan) Botterill of Chatham, Jean Botterill of London, Bill Botterill of Chatham, Annette Brown (Kevin Stoneman) of Sarnia, and Michael Botterill of Chatham, 18 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren and 2 more on the way. Also missed by her son in law Dale Ramboer and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her daughters, Carol Garnett, Julie Ramboer, and Cheryl Reynolds, 4 sisters, Josephine Authier, Marion Gore, Cecile Myers and Rose Richardson, 2 brothers, Orville and Wilfred Ritchie. Mary Jane was a member of the Women of the Moose for 52 years and a member of the Catholic Women’s League for 51 years. Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Friday, July 8, 2016 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 3 pm. The Women of the Moose will hold a service at 7:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 11 am in St. Ursula’s Church. Cremation will follow with burial of ashes at a later date. Donations to the New Beginnings Club – Brain Injury Association of Chatham Kent would be appreciated.
