Obituary of Anne Bezaire

Bezaire, Sister Anne (formerly Sister St. Felix) entered Eternal Life on Sunday, September 21, 2014. Sr. Anne was a member of the Ursuline Religious of Chatham, Ontario. Throughout her 67 years of Religious Life, she served as a teacher in Windsor, Chatham, Tilbury, McGregor, Dublin and Tecumseh. Sister also worked with the Ursuline Sisters of Rimouski in British Columbia, and with teachers in Haiti. She was a pastoral worker in several parishes in Windsor and Chatham. In 1985 Sister Anne was elected to General Leadership for the Ursuline Sisters. She was an avid champion of the poor and worked to establish homes for the working poor in Chatham and Toronto.
Sr. Anne was born in Windsor, Ontario in 1924, the daughter of the late Arsene and Lucy (Strong) Bezaire. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by brothers, Father Felix Bezaire (2003) and Lloyd Bezaire (2006).
Relatives and friends are invited to join the Ursuline Community for the Bible Vigil to be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. in the Kiva at Villa Angela Chatham. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Kiva at Villa Angela, 20 Merici Way, Chatham. Interment will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
