Obituary of Roger Houle

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of a wonderful Dad, Grandpa and Great Grandpa at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus, on Sunday June 19, 2016, Roger Romain Houle, age 88, of Chatham, beloved husband of the late Rosabelle Ida Houle (Gagnier)(2009). Born in Dover Township in 1928, son of the late Marguerite (Bedard) Houle and Orville Houle.
Roger farmed all of his life, was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and an Honourary member of the Knights of Columbus.
Loving father of Andrea M. Houle, Kathryn (Larry) Van De Wynckel, Marlene (Bill) Atkinson, Cheryl (Brian) Carroll, Ellen (Dennis) Ball and Susan (Dave) VanRaay. Sadly missed by 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Predeceased by sisters; Edmondine Cadotte, Geraldine Richer, Theresa Perry and by brothers Gerald and Maurice Houle.
Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Tuesday June 21, 2016 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 7 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday June 22, 2016 at 10 am in Blessed Sacrament Church.
Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
Donations to the Charity of One’s Choice would be appreciated.
