Obituary of Nancy Pearson
Please share a memory of Nancy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
A resident of Chatham, Nancy passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, March 28, 2014 at the age of 67, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Nancy was born in Chatham to the late Rose (De Cooman) and Adam Douglas Sparks. Beloved wife of Paul, her high school sweetheart, for 47 years.
Devoted and much loved mother of Pam (Chris) Rupert, Paul-John (Marilyn) Pearson, Pat (Lynn) Pearson, Joey (Kristin) Pearson, Emily (Kevin) Allman, and Ben Pearson. Loving sister to Rosemary (Jack) Brodie, Lynn Knill, Bonnie (Raf) Chow, and Doug Sparks. Nancy will be sadly missed by her 24 grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother-in-law Richard Knill, and her nephew Jason Knill.
Nancy was a teacher as a young adult. Soon after she began her career, she left it to raise her family. Some people are just born to be a mother, and Nancy was one of them. She will be missed by the many young people who she taught, babysat, counselled, and opened her heart and home to. Nancy was always a woman of faith, who helped to give the gift of faith to many around her. Even in her final days, Nancy brought joy, understanding, laughter, peace, love, and faith to all of her family, friends, and the many wonderful health care professionals who worked with her during that difficult time.
