It is with great sadness that our family announce the passing of Maria Vuch at Meadow Park Nursing Home on Saturday May 14, 2016. Surrounded by family, Maria passed away peacefully and will now join her husband Sergio Vuch (2000) and brother Emilio Maizen (2003).
Survived by her sister Mafalda Chies (Italy). Forever loved by her 3 daughters; Silva Svehla (Dave), Elsa Richie (Mike), Jane Gadd (Bill), by grandchildren; David Svehla (Ailish), Shawn Svehla (Tina), Jordan Richie (Katie), Olivia and Julia and by great grandchildren; Nuala, Daira, Macie, Kaylie. Maria was born in Istria in 1925, daughter of the late Ursula Bordon and Antonio Maizen.
Maria immigrated to Canada in 1960 to start a better life for her family. Maria’s life centered around her family and she made every gathering a celebration.
A private family visitation and service will be held.
Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
