Obituary of Betty Agnes Adams

On Wednesday March 28th 2018, Betty (nee Grant)(Elizabeth) Agnes Adams passed away surrounded by her family at the Chatham Kent Hospice.

She faced her previous breast cancer diagnosis and more recently her 4 month lung cancer battle with courage and grace and was an inspiration to all that knew her. 

Daughter of the late Alice (Rice) and Peter Grant. Preceded in death by her husband, Roy Adams (2008). 

Loving mother of Carol (Chris Hepp) of London, Karen (Bob Caughey) of Alliston Linda (Brian Endicott) of Clayton North Carolina, Debbie (Dean Creechan) of Chatham. Dearest Nana to Tyler (Leah), Brittney and Kayla Hepp; Samantha (Nathan), Michelle (Ryan) and Matthew Caughey; Michael and Madison Gale and Cameron and Tyler Creechan. Great Grandma to Leo Hepp. Adored sister of Kathleen Grant, Brian Grant (Shirley), Ann (Mike Murphy) and Michael Grant (Sue). Predeceased by brother Hughie (Shirley), Sheila, Patricia (Pat Myers), Joan (late Charlie Pray). Will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.  Sadly missed by her Card Club/Pepper Club friends, Shirley and Bob Tanton, Colleen and Marshall Bates and Jodie, Frank and Quinn Canella. 

Memorial visitation will be held at the Funeral Home 156 William St. S., Chatham on Monday April 2, 2018 from 2-4 pm and  7-9 pm.

A Memorial Mass of the Resurrection will be held in St. Ursula’s Church on Tuesday at 1:30 pm.

Cremation has taken place.

The family would like to thank LHIN, VON, Bayshore, Doctor Sohaib, and Doctor Blanchett and Doctor Uremco of the London cancer clinic for all their support. Forever grateful for the Chatham Hospice for making the last 4 weeks of her life so comfortable, filled with love, laughter and a wonderful St. Patrick’s Day party.
