Obituary of Terry Butterman

Butterman, Terrance Wayne (Terry) passed away on Friday, September 2, 2016 at the Chatham Kent Hospice, having lived with cancer for many years. Beloved husband of Jane (Doyle), he was born in Wallaceburg in 1942, son of Joseph and Stella (Moreland) Butterman. Terry is survived by sisters, Elaine Ford and her husband Reg, Linda Fraleigh, and a brother Jack. Sisters and brothers-in-law include Priscilla LaPointe, Mary Anne and Andy Henderson, Doris Doyle, Sharon Doyle, Tim and Bevan Doyle, and Frank Doyle. He is predeceased by his parents, by Jane’s parents, Frank and Norma Doyle, and by brother-in-law, Aleck Dammert. His many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and his God children were a source of great joy to Terry. He was a retired CPA, having worked diligently in private practice. An avid reader and a wood worker, he was an inspiration to many in his use of digital technology. Terry was most appreciative of the excellent care he received from his doctors, and from staff at Hospice, Hospital, CCAC, and the London Cancer Clinic. Cremation has taken place. In accordance with Terry’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A family gathering will take place at a later date. Friends planning an expression of remembrance are asked to consider the Chatham Kent Hospice.
