To Rick, Gloria and other family members......
I was extremely saddened to read of Charlie's passing. I had the good fortune of having crossed paths with your dad many, many years ago. We enjoyed many conversations together. I admired him a GREAT DEAL. I last spoke with Charlie on Monday May 20, 2019. He was in the Emergency waiting room with you Gloria. My dad ( Paul ) had just been admitted that day after having fallen and breaking his hip. Tragically, he passed away that same week on Friday the 24th. Come Tuesday the 21st., I told dad, over breakfast, that I had run into Charlie. Well.... he spent the next hour sharing various stories about Charlie and his seed delivery days with King Grain. Dad also had the highest of respect for your father.
Sending me sincerest of condolences to you all.
Jean-Paul ( J.P. ) Raymond

My thoughts and prayers are with all the Dorner family on the loss of your special father and grandfather and brother, Charlie. My memories of him are driving his big truck in the Jaycee parade and waving to everyone. He enjoyed talking about his Christmas trees and he took great pride in the time he spent pruning and looking after them. Our families share common roots from the village of Gilvach, and both of our fathers coming to Canada on the same boat and our mothers becoming best friends. May he rest in peace.

Gloria, Charles III, Chris and family. I’m very sorry for your loss. I have many memories of Charlie and your family from my dad whether it be pig roasts, baseball, or trucking. I still love telling the story of going to Florida on vacation as a kid and getting a Christmas tree from Charlie-that was the best!
May he Rest In Peace.

I loved the times we spent exploring ain grandpa Charlie’s barns… there was always so many neat things to find. His pig roasts were legendary and I’ve never had better stuffing than his. I feel blessed having known this amazing man!❤️ He certainly will be missed.3038

To Charlie’s Family, our sympathies on the passing of your Dad. Charlie along with Rick and Mike hauled ice for us all over Ontario and beyond. Sitting and listening to Charlie telling stories on the dock as the trucks were being loaded was so cool as his hand gestures spoke in sync with his voice. He was truly a “good man”.
Our thoughts are with you all.
