Cécille Lachance

Obituary of Cécille Alma Lachance

Please share a memory of Cécille to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It’s with saddened hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Cécille Lachance on December 7, 2020 at the age of 87.  Reunited with her late husband, Charles Lachance (2010).  Born in Grande Pointe, beloved daughter of the late Laurent and Anna Edna (Lozon) Tetrault.

Cécille was the Postmaster in Pain Court for a number of years, and also owned the jewellery store and barbershop with her late husband Charlie.  She was always a determined, hard worker, who opened her home to those struggling in life.  She was feisty and strong willed, but had a big heart and witty sense of humour.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Gabriel (Carolin) Lachance of Chatham and Nicole (Geoffrey) Luff of Belle River.  Her siblings Orville (late Leona) Tetrault, Victor (Betty) Tetreault, and Rosaire (Suzanne) Tetrault.  Cherished Mémé of Aimée (Rob) Schaafsma, James (Brenna) Lachance, Jacques and Matthew Lachance, Olivia, Rachel, Erik and Isaac Luff, her 4 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A very special thanks to her Hudson Manor family for their kindness and support.

Friends and relatives may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM on Saturday, December 12, 2020.
