Obituary of John Tengelis

John Tengelis, age 89, born November 30th, 1934, passed away on October 7, 2024 after a life full of laughter, fun, adventure, music, and special times with friends, family, and relatives. 

He is survived by his loving wife Doris (née Jackson), his proud children Tammy, Becky (Brett), Vicky, and Marty (Heather), and his grandchildren who are so grateful for his time and fun-loving attention, Sydney,  Liam (Meera), Helen (Jacob), and Holly (Mitch).  

His family was the most important thing in his life and he always got such joy out of spending time together.  Fondly remembered and appreciated by everyone who knew him as a skilled mechanic, carpenter, musician, master of all trades and "knower" of just about everything.  He touched many with his sense of humour, playful nature, friendliness, and willingness to help.  John loved country music! His 60+ years of performing in a band, playing guitar and singing, gave him much joy.  As a doting husband, father and grandfather, he will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts. 

A private family service will be held at his burial site in Evergreen Cemetery in Blenheim.
